The Classic Brio Dachshund

Since 1953 this Classic Brio Dachshund has delighted toddlers. My son equally loved this cute wooden Doxie as he dragged it behind him in endless laps around the house.

With its sleek, black hot dog shape and moving ears, tail, and head this toy really fascinates children with its unique movement.

It is pulled along with a short yellow string and trots along happily on its red wheels that keep the tail, head, and ears moving.

The paint on the body is high quality and will withstand almost any abuse your toddler can dish out. The dog is about 8 inches long and recommended for children over one years old.

As with most well built Brio toys this Classic Dachshund toy will last for years and is great as a collectible. They can be hard to find and are frequently out of stock so if you want to give it as a gift, shop early!
